Mandi in Himachal Pradesh recorded 11.9°C on 4 November, the lowest minimum temperature in the country, according to the India Meteorological Department’s all-India bulletin issued at 8:30 PM IST. North India stayed dry that day, and IMD lists no significant weather for north-west India through the coming week. A western disturbance is sitting over north Pakistan and adjoining Jammu, but the bulletin attaches no warning to it.
Cool Mornings, Dry Days Across the North
Minimum temperatures were below normal at isolated places in several northern and central regions, IMD said. The bulletin does not declare a cold wave and gives no temperature or fog outlook for 5 to 10 November. For commuters in Delhi-NCR, Punjab, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh, no rain or thunderstorm disruption is flagged in this issue.
Two Circulations Over the Region
A cyclonic circulation lies over north Haryana, and the western disturbance over north Pakistan comes with a trough in the westerlies aloft, IMD said. Mandi’s 11.9°C compares with 37.7°C at Porbandar in Gujarat, the highest maximum of the day, a gap of about 26°C between the two ends of the country.

No Warnings Listed Through 10 November
IMD’s seven-day warning table for 4 to 10 November carries no heavy-rain, thunderstorm or cold-wave warning for the north-west. IMD issues the bulletin daily, so any change in the western disturbance’s track would show up in the next issue.
