Delhi will see mist in the morning and mainly clear skies on Tuesday, 3 November, with a maximum of 28-30°C and a minimum of 15-17°C, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said in its Delhi forecast issued at 8:45 pm on 2 November. The bulletin forecasts no rain through 8 November and does not carry a colour-coded warning.

Mist Again on Wednesday Morning

Safdarjung, Delhi’s base station, recorded a maximum of 29.5°C and a minimum of 16.4°C on Monday, according to the IMD. Shallow fog was reported at a few places in the city in the past 24 hours. The IMD expects mist in the morning hours on both 3 and 4 November, with the minimum dipping to 14-16°C and the maximum easing to 27-29°C on Wednesday. It says no large change in maximum temperatures is likely over the next seven days.

Very Dense Fog in East Uttar Pradesh

The IMD’s all-India bulletin of 2 November reported very dense fog at isolated places in east Uttar Pradesh, with visibility at Ballia recorded as zero metres at 8:30 am. Moderate fog was reported in parts of east UP and Himachal Pradesh, and shallow fog over Punjab, Haryana-Chandigarh-Delhi, Bihar and Jharkhand. The lowest minimum in the country was 12.5°C at Una in Himachal Pradesh. Maximum temperatures were below normal at many places in Uttarakhand and Punjab as of 1 November.
