Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge said on Wednesday, 4 November 2026, that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is “parroting his flop line of Dimaagi Naxal” and has “no answer” on what the Opposition calls “vote chori”. Kharge made the remarks in a post on X, according to ANI’s report from New Delhi filed at about 1:25 PM IST. They came a day after Modi, speaking at the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas event at the Statue of Unity in Gujarat, described the Opposition as an “obstructionist force”.
Five U-Turns and a Debate Dare
Kharge alleged that the Election Commission has taken “5 U-turns” on the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, including what he called a complete change of Form 6, which he said other Election Commissioners had called illegal. The ANI report does not list the five changes, and they are Kharge’s allegations, not findings. He also attributed to Home Minister Amit Shah a claim that three crore voters are infiltrators and asked why, as Home Minister, Shah allowed illegal entry.
Kharge said Modi has not held a single open press conference and should come to Parliament and debate. He added that the last session of Parliament has not been prorogued for 83 days and that the government wants a special session.

Rahul Gandhi’s Challenge Enters Day Two
Kharge’s post followed Rahul Gandhi’s renewed challenge to Modi for an open debate on alleged foreign connections. Gandhi, the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, wrote that it had been 24 hours since he issued the challenge, offered any venue and suggested RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat as judge. IPB reported the first challenge in Rahul Gandhi Renews Modi Debate Challenge, Names Bhagwat as Judge.
Kharge also referred to the INDIA bloc’s “public impeachment” of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar and the “Vote Bachao” rally at Ramlila Maidan. The charges set out at the mock Parliament are explained in The Six Charges Against CEC Gyanesh Kumar, and the rally speeches in What Kharge, Tejashwi, Akhilesh and Left Leaders Said.
No Reply Yet From Modi on the Debate
The ANI report does not carry any reply from Modi to the debate challenge, and it does not quote his exact words on the Opposition from the Statue of Unity event. Kharge’s post says Parliament has stayed un-prorogued for 83 days; the report gives no date for a special session.
