The Union Public Service Commission declared the Civil Services (Main) Examination 2026 result on Thursday, 5 November, and 2,526 candidates have qualified for the Personality Test, the interview round, according to the name-wise result list published on upsc.gov.in. The result is provisional. Interview dates have not been announced; UPSC said they will be notified separately, and the interviews will be held at its office at Dholpur House, Shahjahan Road, New Delhi.
Fill the Form by 25 November or Miss the Interview
Qualified candidates must log in to upsconline.nic.in, check their details and submit the post-result application form between 11 and 25 November, up to 6 pm, according to coaching-portal reports of the UPSC notice. Candidates who skip this step will not get an e-Summon Letter for the interview. Anyone who declared their education as “appearing” must also upload proof that they have passed.
UPSC will release e-Summon Letters online, not by post. Candidates who cannot download theirs can call 011-40303444 or 011-24041001, or write to [email protected], the number and address UPSC gave in its notice.

Where This Stage Sits in the Exam
The Civil Services Examination has three stages: the preliminary test, the Main written examination, and the Personality Test. The Personality Test carries 275 marks, and the final rank adds those marks to the Main written score. This year’s prelims result qualified 13,343 candidates for the Main examination, as reported when it was declared; the Main result has now cut that to 2,526.

Interview Dates Still to Come
UPSC has not said when the interviews will begin or when e-Summon Letters will go up on its website. Candidates should watch upsc.gov.in for both notices and keep the 25 November form deadline in mind, since it is the only date confirmed so far.
