Engineering aspirants can now apply for JEE Main 2027. The National Testing Agency (NTA) opened Session 1 registration on jeemain.nta.nic.in on the night of Saturday, 24 October, and will accept forms until 11:50 PM on 22 November, according to its information bulletin. The computer-based exam will be held on 20, 21, 22, 23, 24 and 28 January 2027, in two shifts a day, 9 AM to 12 noon and 3 PM to 6 PM.

Fees, Late Window and Who Can Apply

For one paper at a centre in India, the fee is ₹1,000 for general male candidates and ₹800 for women; Gen-EWS and OBC (NCL) men pay ₹900, and SC, ST, PwD and third gender candidates pay ₹500. Taking two or more papers roughly doubles the fee. A late window from 23 to 26 November will accept forms with an extra ₹500, an option ETV Bharat reported as new this year. Corrections are allowed from 27 to 29 November.

Only students who passed Class 12 in 2025 or 2026, or who will appear in 2027, are eligible; those who passed in 2024 or earlier cannot apply. There is no age limit, though institutes may set their own. Registration runs through the MeriPehchaan single sign-on, with eKYC through Aadhaar, PAN, driving licence or APAAR, and NTA has asked candidates to update their Aadhaar photo, name and date of birth before applying.
