The Enforcement Directorate said on Tuesday, 3 November 2026, that it has attached assets worth about ₹510 crore of the Reliance Anil Ambani Group, including two chartered aircraft, in money laundering cases linked to alleged bank frauds at Reliance Communications and two of the group’s finance companies. The agency said the action takes its total attachments and seizures in the group’s cases to about ₹23,100 crore.

Two Jets, Six Land Parcels and Two Windmills

In the Reliance Communications (RCom) case, which involves alleged fraud of ₹247.12 crore, the ED attached two chartered aircraft, six land parcels and an office in Maharashtra. Photos released by the agency show a Dassault Falcon 2000 (VT-AAT) and an Embraer Legacy 650 (VT-OMM).

In the Reliance Home Finance and Reliance Commercial Finance case, involving ₹263.05 crore, it attached two windmills in Tamil Nadu, bank balances, fixed deposits, investments and receivables. An attachment under the money laundering law is provisional: the assets cannot be sold or transferred, and the order has to be confirmed by the law’s Adjudicating Authority.

What the ED Alleges

The ED said its probe began on FIRs filed by the CBI and the Economic Offences Wings of the Delhi and Mumbai police. It covers RCom, Reliance Home Finance, Reliance Commercial Finance, Reliance Infrastructure, Reliance Power and Reliance Capital.

The agency alleged that the group siphoned off public money from banks and financial institutions, misused the insolvency law to ring-fence company assets for personal use, and moved funds to offshore tax havens. “A large part was utilised for the individual benefit of the promoters and their family,” the ED said. No court has ruled on these allegations. When the ED attached ₹1,452 crore of RCom assets in November 2025, Reliance Group said Anil Ambani had left the company in 2019 and that the assets belonged to RCom. The group had not responded to Tuesday’s action by the evening.

10 Arrests and Six Prosecution Complaints So Far

The ED said it has arrested 10 people and filed six prosecution complaints under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002, along with one complaint under the Foreign Exchange Management Act. It is also probing two cases under FEMA. Anil Ambani’s earlier legal fights with lenders include the SBI personal insolvency case. More of IPB’s coverage is in Daily Updates.

The agency said further investigation is under way.
