Prime Minister Narendra Modi is releasing the 24th instalment of the PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi on Friday, 30 October, from a national-level event at Bhildi in Gujarat’s Banaskantha district. Over ₹18,680 crore will go by direct benefit transfer into the bank accounts of about 9.34 crore farmer families, ₹2,000 each, Gujarat Agriculture Minister Jitu Vaghani said, as reported by PTI.

₹2,000 in the Account, If the Records Match

Each eligible family gets ₹6,000 a year in three instalments of ₹2,000. Farmers who have not completed e-KYC, or whose land records, bank account and Aadhaar details do not match, can see the payment held back. Status can be checked under “Know Your Status” in the Farmers Corner of pmkisan.gov.in.

Families of landholding farmers qualify. Institutional landholders, income-tax payers, serving or retired officials (with a few exceptions), pensioners drawing ₹10,000 or more a month, holders of constitutional posts and registered professionals such as doctors, engineers and lawyers are excluded.
