Kota man dies after unplugging ventilator by family

A 40-year-old man in Kota died at a government hospital after his family members had allegedly shut the switch of the ventilator he was on to plug in an air cooler.

According to the hospital authority, he was suspected to be severely suffering from COVID-19 and was admitted to ICU in the Maharao Bhim Singh (MBS) Hospital on June 13. However, his test report was coming negative later.

Hospital authorities made a three-member committee will probe the incident.
