Tributes pour in for Samuel Paty as France shows solidarity by rallying in thousands

A true showcase of solidarity where people from varied cities of France came together to grieve the murder of Samuel Paty, a schoolteacher by profession, who was mercilessly beheaded in broad daylight in an attack by the terrorists.
The country already burdened with the recent spate of hateful killings and atrocities by terrorists woke up to widespread demonstration by people all across France from all walks of life, starting from Paris to Toulouse to Nantes, Lille, Strasbourg, and even Marseille.
The main slogan heard was freedom for free speech & placards were raised with declarations like “No to totalitarianism of thought” to “I am a teacher” & “Schools in mourning”.
This further laid stress on the need for why history is important and how the virtues of liberty, democracy, and secularism are not just words that are to be taught in descriptive books but is necessary to incorporate hence keeping them alive through the people, by the people & for the people.
