The water level rises in Barak River, heavy downfall may create a flood-like situation in Assam

 The flood situation remains critical in Assam. With Brahmaputra river flowing above the danger mark, now includes Barak River flowing through Cachar district, has been on rising above the danger mark. Damage of crops, Mudslides, and relocation of millions of people, Assam has seen all. Central Water Commission claims though the situation is under control, further downpour may create a flood-like situation.
