Seven junctions in Mumbai will be developed

BMC is planning to improve seven junctions in Mumbai. Those seven junctions are JVPD junction, JVLR junction- SV road junction, said star junction, the stretch between MG Road and SV road junction, the mathuradas SV road junction and the Arya Samaj Junction, within the suburbs.
These seven junctions are not developed on par with the traffic and commuter movement they witness every day, according to Kiran Deghavkar, the assistant commissioner who is in charge of the project.
The project is taken forward to make these seven junction pedestrian friendly, create dedicated parking spaces that do not get in way of traffic flow as we can see people parking their vehicles making way narrow which cause traffic.
Also to create road crossings, expanded sideways herb ramp at bus stops and footpaths and increase plantation cover.Kiran Deghavkar also stated that the parking spaces will equipped with electric charging points.
The estimate cost of project is ₹25 crore. ₹25 crore for better tomorrow. Guardian Minister of Mumbai suburbs Aaditya Thackeray conceptualized it. The fund for the project will be sourced from the District Planning and Development Committee (DPDC) of the Mumbai suburbs.
Mumbai traffic is the worst for every person living there. It comes under the list of worst traffic flow in the world. The worst traffic is observed mostly during day and at the end of the day when set back to the direction of their home after a long day in office.
To reach the destination one has to always leave the house even before the time expected to travel because no one believes in Mumbai traffic. However, this development project might give some relief to these junctions from traffic and to everyone.
The BMC recently floated tenders to appoint a contractor for the project who will be in charge of it end to end. The experts will conceptualize plans for the improvement of footpaths, installation of street furniture, creation of parking spaces, bus stops and illumination under the metro slab on AGLK.
