Punjab: 10 falls ill after consuming ‘prasad’ at Tarn Taran gurdwara

At least 10 people were hospitalised after they consumed ‘prasad’ at a gurdwara in Tarn Taran, Punjab on Saturday. All of them have been shifted to an Amritsar-based hospital where they are undergoing treatment. The condition of one person is said to be critical.

The incident happened on Saturday during a ‘Sukhmani Sahib’ discourse organised by one Raghuvir Singh for his mother who had passed away recently. The prayer discourse was organised at his house.

After the discourse of the prayer, the ‘prasad’ was distributed among the members of the Raghuvir Singh’s family members.

The leftover ‘prasad’ was taken to the gurdwara where the Granthi distributed it among his children and other devotees.
