Oil tanker on fire, brought under control with the help of India

On Saturday, the MT New Diamond Oil Tanker caught fire in Sri Lanka’s coastal side. The fire has been brought under control with the help of India, said Sri Lankan Navy. The ship has carried 270,000 metric tonnes of crude oil from Kuwait to India. 23 crew members and 22 others have been deliveranced. It is reported that a Filipino sailor expired in the engine room on Thursday explosion.
