NEET-UG 2020 Examination to set directive measure

Arriving timings for the students has been segregated into four slots of 40 minutes each, which will start from 11am. During each slot, about 90 students will be permitted to enter into the center.
After glitch-free online JEE(MAIN), the very next major task for the National Testing Agency (NTA) is the offline National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET-UG) which will be organized on September 13, where 15.97 lakh students have registered themselves.
While over 9.58 lakh students have registered themselves for JEE (Main), which has been computerized and will get started over a period of six days and 12 shifts, NEET-UG will be conducted on a single day with students coming back to the pen-paper mode.
Social distancing will be the top priority. Allocating duties and acquisition of masks, face shields, gloves, hand sanitizers, and foot stickers are done by September 9. There will be three sessions from September 10 to September 12 for the last checks, according to a senior NTA official.
In order to make sure that there are social distancing and crowd management, the agency has to increase the number of centers from 1,314 to 3,860. Timings for arrival have been divided into four parts of 40 minutes each, which will begin from 11am with the students-they will take the examination in the written form-provide per student time slots.
During each slot, a maximum of 90 students will be allowed to come to a particular centre. At the end of an exam, two invigilators are supposed to accompany 24 students to the exit gate. The next slot will be permitted to exit only after the invigilator returns back.
According to the officials of NTA, while the maximum number of center will have around 360 candidates, there are 210 centers where the number of aspirants is 600 or more. Along with a superintendent from the center there will also be a deputy superintendent for every 180 students, there will also be 30 invigilators, two water boys, along with two cleaning staff, and four guards. The agency shared its standards of operating procedures(SOPs) with the center on Monday.
According to SO, a student needs to present his/her admit card where the roll numbers are printed in big font, show the photo he/she is carrying, and removing the mask for the recognition of face with the maintenance of social distance of six feet. Then the students will be directed to the room. The invigilators will have their hand gloves and face masks. After sanitizing their hand, the sealed OMR sheets will be provided to the students.
Candidates are open to them after cleaning their hands. One attendance paper will have 6 candidate’s name and they will clean their hands before and after coming. There should absolutely no physical contact, claims an official.
