Left parties call for protest as the fuel price rises

All India Forward Bloc has criticized the government over the fuel price hike. The five left parties in their statement said, “The Modi government has embarked upon merciless destruction of people’s livelihood which has already been severely assaulted both by the pandemic and the unplanned, unilaterally announced and totally mismanaged nationwide lockdown.

The Left parties demand that the central government sharply reduce its excise duties, on petroleum products, which are amongst the highest in the world today, and provide relief to the people.
