Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav claimed “historic voting” for SP-RLD candidates on Monday, saying the people had subdued Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s “garmi” (haughtiness) in the first two phases of the UP assembly elections. Yadav slammed Adityanath, saying that he used to claim ahead of the elections that the SP and RLD leaders’ “khoon ki garmi” (haughtiness, enthusiasm) would be subdued after the elections.

Yadav claimed that the BJP is on the verge of defeat, citing “evident from the changing language” and the “face of Baba CM, who could not sleep amid the imminent defeat.”Yadav accused the BJP leaders of lying to the people and urged voters to vote for the pre-poll SP-RLD alliance candidates without regard for caste or religion.

Yadav promised youth jobs during rallies, saying he would begin hiring in government departments soon after forming the government. He also promised to conduct a caste census in the state within three months of taking office, claiming that he will undo the BJP’s discrimination by providing reservation and “due rights” to people of all castes.

He repeatedly urged people to vote for SP-RLD candidates, claiming that the BJP is a “threat to the constitution, democracy, and development.”When asked where industries had been established in Bundelkhand, Yadav stated, “The current regime has cut income in half and doubled inflation while increasing corruption. They claim to have given jobs by placing false advertisements “He stated.
