Congress leader P Chidambaram launched a sharp attack on PM Modi and his economic policies post the Q1 GDP in 2020 reached a historic low. Chidambaram tweeted a screengrab of one of PM’s tweets from 2013, using PM Modi’s own words against him when Modi was the Chief Minister of Gujarat.

Modi had written, “Economy is in big trouble, youth need jobs. Devote more time to economics, not petty politics. Chidambaram Ji, please focus on the job at hand!”. Tweeting the screengrab, Chidambaram wrote, “I have to say the same thing to the Honourable Prime Minister!”.
