Coding to improve critical thinking

Most often the words coding and programming is interchangeably used. The word programming mainly deals with the development of a program that can perform an assigned task. Whereas coding being a part of programming it is the translation of human languages into binary commands to machine to carry out the task. Thus coding can also be called as a subset of programming. 

Understanding of the technology that runs the world, can come in handy, be it you are interested in coding or not. Thus, many of the countries have already included coding in the school curriculum and India is in its initial stages. 

Coding gives an insight of the working of the machine identify the errors involved, and on how to solve it, for which the larger tasks has to be broken down into smaller tasks, thus improving the logical and critical thinking in the child. 

In the current world where everything is available at the finger tips which eliminated the opportunity to use our brain. Due to the onslaught of technology the thinking skills are not lost, but never fully developed in the first place.

Critical thinking is important be in work or life outside of work, which is one major skill lacking in the current generation, they may excel at solving structured problems presented in classrooms. 

The development of critical thinking is hindered by the developing technology and now using a piece of the very technology to improve the critical and logical thinking is more like using the poison as antidote.
