Calcutta University: fewer questions for faster upload

The final-year undergraduate students of Calcutta University will get only two hours to answer questions as per the officials said. The papers will have few questions so that the examinees are required to write less and do not need more than half an hour to download the questions and upload the
answers, as said by the UGC last week.
The UGC had on September 16 told the university that it was free to hold open-book exams as part of the end semester/ final-year test “so long as they are given for two or three hours” for the exam. The CU pro-vice-chancellor for academic affairs, Ashis Chatterjee, on Monday informed the principals that each day’s test would be for two hours, as per said by the head of the colleges.
The UGC has clearly said to the students that they will be given half an hour to download the questions and upload the answers and struck down the university’s previous decision that the examinees would be allowed 24 hours to upload the answers,” as per an official said of the university.
