87 year old stuck in Kolkata, provided help to the relief workers

An 87-year-old woman Kanta Devi Karnani who was born in Ferozpur migrated to London with her husband in 1962. Ever since then she has been coming to Kolkata to visit her daughter annually, this year’s visit got a bit extended as just two days before her flight back the Pandemic induced lockdown struck the whole country.

Confined to her Alipore apartment, she refused to give in to idleness and wanted to do her bit in order to help in the humanitarian crisis, for the last four months she cooked pakoras, vegetable Biryani, pasta and a lot of other such delicacies, besides that she also made a donation.

On Sunday she finally was able to book a flight to Delhi from where she has boarded a British Airways flight to London, where she has been living with her sons.
