22-Year Woman was booked against fake rape cases

A series of fake rape cases registered against eight innocent man. Gurgaon Police on Wednesday arrested a 22-year-old woman for allegedly defrauding money from a man jeopardizing to accuse him in a rape case if he denied marrying her else compensate her with money.

Police indicated that in the last 15 months, the woman has cataloged eight cases of rape against eight varied men at seven police stations in Gurgaon – Rajendra Park, Sadar, Cyber, sector 5, New Colony, sector 10 and City. Police asserted that woman’s filled FIR claimed that the accused had raped her on the pretext of alliance.

A closure statement has been stored in at least three of the cases. Authority probed that the woman’s mother and an uncle were also part of the alleged swindle “syndicate” and are eloping post allegations if settlement didn’t cracked up.

Preet Pal Sangwan, ACP Crime, referring to an FIR that was registered against the woman on charges of extortion and conspiracy on December 23 after a resident of Karnal filed a police complaint alleging that she had been blackmailing him and intimidating him to either get married or pay her off.
